BluePath is an accredited Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Assessor offering nationwide services.
We provide Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Assessment and Certification services to SDA providers, architects, designers, developers, and builders by undertaking SDA Design Standard Assessment to ensure that designs and/or final As-Built Structures are in compliant with SDA Design Standards.
Specialising in SDA assessments and advice, we are the certifier of choice for numerous builders and developers delivering SDA accommodation across Australia.
Our Process
1. Desktop Review
Our assessment begins with a desktop review of your design plans to ensure compliance with SDA Design Category standards.
2. Provisional Design Certification
After the desktop review and initial inspection, we issue a Certificate, confirming that your dwelling's design aligns with the NDIS SDA requirements before construction begins.
3. Final As-built Certification
Upon construction completion, we conduct a final inspection to ensure the dwelling has been built according to the approved design. We then issue the Final As-built Certification, required for NDIS enrolment, ensuring full compliance with the chosen SDA Design Category.
SDA Design Categories
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funds accommodation options for eligible individuals living with disabilities through the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) program. To enrol in the NDIS, SDA properties must meet specific design requirements, which are assessed for compliance by an Accredited SDA Assessor.
The SDA Design Standard outlines four categories of design, as specified in the SDA Rules (2020):
